The design of this space was governed solely and exclusively by the demands that the client and the space placed on us. We try to live with these conditions, without seeing them as obstacles to our work, but rather a challenge to overcome. The space is an office with approximately 50m2, organized in a plan with two touching rectangles. Having defined the work lines and options to be taken, the proposal was being refined, until we reached the final result, an office subdivided into six distinct zones: Hall, Lavatories, Meeting Room and three Offices. With regard to materiality, the proposals stand out for the use of oak wood in almost all its extension, from the pivoting doors, to the fixed furniture and even in some paneling. In addition to this material, the use of plasterboard ceilings and ceilings painted in white color is also quite present, seeking to create a contrast with all the wood used. In terms of ceilings, these white surfaces have been freed from any and all ornaments, thus seeking to assume even more their simplicity and uniformity, making these plans as if they were a white cloth floating over our heads. This option led us to have all the lighting done through crown molding allowing to accentuate the desired effect on the ceiling and even giving the idea that through the ceiling, natural light penetrated the space. In turn, these crown moldings allowed us to mark all the transitions of spaces, since the crown molding works along all walls, doors, cupboards and windows. Thus a new space and a new experience emerged, an experience completely different from the one we had until then.
